English (Emergency Response)
The number of foreign employees in the Netherlands has increased significantly over the past few years, and continues to grow in a range of sectors. In addition, the Netherlands is an attractive business location for large international companies. More and more companies are choosing to use English as the first or second language for communications in the workplace.
This is an important factor for the organization of emergency response activities and for communication during an incident. Increasing numbers of employees with a nationality other than Dutch are enrolling in emergency response courses in English.
For this reason, NIBHV is developing teaching and learning materials and knowledge documents in the English language for Emergency response services.
